Choose ethylene oxide (EtO) sterilization for challenging lumened instrumentation
Ethylene Oxide (EO or EtO) is an important tool in the sterilization of medical devices that cannot be sterilized with steam, like flexible endoscopes. Sterile processing professionals need to find the right combination of low-temperature sterilization solutions to balance competing demands and manage costs, comply with manufacturers' Instructions for Use (IFUs) and effectively sterilize critical instruments.

There are 2 sizes of sterilizers GS5 and GS8. Both are available in one-door and two-door variants.
Solventum requires the Abator to be used as the last step in the sterilization process. The 3M™ EO Abator is a highly effective device used to catalytically convert 100% ethylene oxide gas exhausted from the 3M™ Steri-Vac™ Sterilizer/Aerators GS and GSX Series to CO2 and water vapor.

The sterilization process is carried out using disposable EO cartridges which are always available in stock for quick supply. Cartridges are available in two sizes: 4-100 for GS5 and 8-170 for GS8 sterilizers. Cartridges of both sizes are packed in boxes of 12 units.
